Markus Aase

Markus holds a master’s from NTNU’s Department of Mathematical Sciences, where his thesis focused on predicting weak layers in avalanche forecasts. He blends computational statistics and machine learning with real-world mountain sense as a certified avalanche instructor. Beyond work, he pursues long expedition projects that become award worthy ski films, sharpening his eye for clear storytelling and risk management. At Skida, Markus moves fluidly from validating algorithms and data quality to shaping product decisions, producing video, and pressure testing how the service works on an actual tour, maps, weather, snowpack, and go/no-go calls included.
