Trond Svandal

Co-founder

Applied-math problem solver who builds clear, trustworthy systems for the mountains.

With an MSc in Applied Mathematics, Trond turns models and data into simple, reliable features that help users make better decisions outside. He focuses on accuracy and performance—sanity-checking algorithms, validating inputs, and stress-testing edge cases—so maps, timing, and route logic hold up when weather and snowpack change. Drawing on hands-on backcountry experience, he cares about the details that matter on a tour: usable elevation profiles, sensible defaults, and signals that support safe navigation without noise. At Skida, he’s a key force in blending advanced tech with practical field use.
